As most of us Montanans know, you never know what the weather is going to be on any given day in Montana.  Especially in the Spring!  It can be 80 degrees one day and snowing the next!  That’s why I was so excited to have a beautiful April day for a party at the Double T River Ranch a few weeks ago.  It had been snowing & raining all week, but then when Saturday rolled around, we had a beautiful Montana Spring day to enjoy in the picturesque Shields River Valley.  

For those of you not yet familiar with the Double T River Ranch, you must check out their website:  www.doubletriverranch.com, or even better, arrange for a visit in person!  It is truly one of those magical spots in this wonderful state of ours.  The Double T is a private luxury guest ranch that sits along the Shields River just minutes from the quaint little town of Clyde Park, MT.  With a main guest house, a charming cottage and 2 river front cabins, you can comfortably sleep 25 people on the property.  The ranch also features a  fully equipped, magnificent “party barn” which serves as an ideal gathering place/dining area for guests.  Besides the amazing scenery and accommodations, the ranch also provides its guests with outstanding concierge services.  They can arrange any type of Montana outing that you could desire or are happy to offer suggestions for some of their favorite activities in the area.  Book your next family reunion, corporate retreat or girls/guys getaway weekend at the Double T!

The party held at the ranch that evening was spectacular because of a combination of things:   the scrumptious food by Sarah Knecht, entertaining music by Little Jane and the Pistol Whips, wagon tour rides of the property, the infamous “Mule” cocktails, event & floral design by Fresh Designs, and of course, the phenomenal setting and amazing hosts!  I can’t wait for my next “excuse” to work at the ranch!

One of our favorite cake bakers and designers in the Bozeman & Big Sky area is Rebecca Nicklin from Cakes from Cabin Ridge.   She is truly a talented artist in in the field of cake design.
